Will PM Khan Accept Hollywood’s Arnold Schwarzenegger’s invitation to World Summit?

Terminator hero is inviting PM Imran Khan to Climate Change Conference to be held in Austria.

Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger invites Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Austrian World Summit to share Pakistan’s success story on climate change with the world. He has extended an invitation to Imran Khan along with other world leaders to join the fight against climate change.

Dr. Arsalan Khalid, the focal person of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Focal Person on Digital Media, shared the video on his Twitter account on Monday. The video is titled,  “An Invitation to PM Imran Khan by Arnold Schwarzenegger to Austrian World Summit.”

 

The tweet further reads, “World is recognizing Pakistan’s efforts to save the world from the threat of climate change. Prime Minister Imran Khan being invited to join the Austrian World Summit to inspire other world leaders to join the fight against climate change”.

He claims that Arnold Schwarzenegger wants PM Khan to join the Austrian World Summit organized by The Schwarzenegger Institute, to inspire the world leaders to take initiatives to fight climate change.

No further details about the summit or PM Khan’s possible participation in the Austrian World Summit have not been revealed yet.

The video shared by Dr. Arsalan Khalid features a part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s maiden keynote speech at the 74th United Nations General Assembly Conference last year, on climate change. In that part of his speech, PM Khan had pressed the world to introduce emergency measures to protect the earth from the adverse climate change impact.

The video also included Times Magazine’s recent acknowledgment of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his significant efforts to mitigate the adverse climate impact on Pakistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan appeared on the covers of the special edition of Times Magazine for the World Economic Forum (WEF) session in Davos, Switzerland.

Imran Khan featured along with other prominent world leaders on magazine’s cover including Founder and Executive Chairman of World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Microsoft Founder Bill Gates, and Europe’s Central Bank President Christine Lagarde.

PM Khan is seen sitting with four other world leaders on a chairlift with the Swiss Alps in the background. Also on the cover, President Donald Trump and young climate activist Greta Thunderberg are spotted on another chairlift, given the anticipated rivalry between them at Davos.

According to Foreign Office Pakistan, this year’s WEF session was organized under the theme of ‘Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World.’

Antonio Guterres, the United Nations Secretary-General who is visiting Pakistan these days, acknowledged a score of significant actions taken by Pakistan to mitigate the worst impact of climate change including the signatory billion tree plantation projects initiated by PM Khan across Pakistan.
