Ik Imran Sab Pe Bhaari trends on Twitter after Supreme Court verdict

The Supreme Court declared PML-Q leader Pervez Ilahi the new Chief Minister of Punjab and asked him to take oath the same day.

Social media users are praising Imran Khan and celebrating the decision of the Supreme Court of Pakistan to remove Hamza Shehbaz from the post of Chief Minister of Punjab. In a much-awaited decision, Supreme Court declared the re-election of Hamza Shehbaz illegal and ordered him to vacate the office on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court declared PML-Q leader Pervez Ilahi the new Chief Minister of Punjab and asked him to take oath the same day. After a lot of hustle, Pervez Ilahi, and Imran Khan won the court battle against PDM.


Pervez Ilahi was the candidate of Imran Khan for Punjab’s Chief Minister. Meanwhile, PDM backed Hamza Shehbaz. After sweeping the Punjab by-elections, PTI became the majority in the Punjab Assembly, and combine with PLM-Q they dominated PDM.



However, Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Mazari had rejected the votes of PML-Q after the letter of party head Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain which came out following a long meeting of PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on the eve of the voting for Punjab Chief Minister in the provincial assembly.

Last Friday, trends like “IK Zardari Sab pe Bhaari” started on Twitter as PDM supporters trolled the supporters of PTI. However, following the decision of the Supreme Court on Tuesday night, the jubilant PTI supporters started the trend “IK Imran Sab p Bhaari”. The trend has been reshared thousands of times following the decision.

On the other hand, the hashtag trend ‘Kukri Tabah De’ is also trending on Twitter. Netizens are discussing the chaotic three-month stay of Hamza Shehbaz as the Chief Minister of Punjab. Chaos and controversies surrounded his post all these things. He was twice reinstated as the Chief Minister of Punjab with limited powers and authority.
