Imran Khan – KPK & Sindh to get a “surprise”

Earlier this week a discussion took place between Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) chairman and media persons regarding the party’s position over the decision yet to be taken by the Election Commission of Pakistan. During discussion Khan surprised many by saying that soon he will give a surprise to KP and Sindh.

While talking to media, Imran said that PTI’s aim was not to politically damage the prime minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, but to remove the essence of corruption from the government as a whole. He explained that if the target was merely Nawaz Sharif, as a person, he would not have spent his energies in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The party leader also said, “I never went to school as many times as I visited the Supreme Court … It is a pleasure to see such competent judges who are more aware of the (importance of the) instant matter.”

Imran Khan also explained that the reason why PTI had gone to courts was a reflection of the government’s failure in implementing the National Action Plan.

“Whatever (proofs) we had, we provided the court in accordance with the Constitution … the burden of proof now rests with the Sharif family … They now need to provide evidence for the money trail because they accepted the ownership of London properties,” he said.

PTI leader also emphasized the fact that Nawaz Sharif had invested the political gains building his business empire.

KPK and Development

The conversation also took note of the matters related to Khyper Pakhtunkhwa province. On a question about his developmental strategies at the Khyper Pakhtunkhwa region, he agreed that PTI’s governance at KPK was not entirely up to the mark.

Imran further accepted the fact that he had not given “proper attention” to the Sindh and KPK province due to the ongoing investigation of the panama case. Another reason for the neglect according to him was the continuous fight, he had to wage, against unfair election systems established by the Nawaz government.

However, he also stated that he will soon “..visit both regions and give out a few surprises as well”.

Imran Khan also explained that he had learned from his past mistakes and plans on eradicating the former faults. He further highlighted that the education systems at KPK had improved drastically over time and that the KPK government had been successful in depoliticising the police force.
