Indian actress agrees Karachi’s food the best in South Asia

The Bhatt family of the Indian film industry shares a warm equation with Pakistan. The former actress had visited Pakistan in 2016 to attend a fashion week.

Former Indian actress Pooja Bhatt believes Karachi has the best food in South Asia.  Bhatt shared her views while interacting with fans on Twitter on Wednesday.

A Twitter user named Sameer had written on Twitter that,  “Karachi is the undisputed food champion of Pakistan. Don’t bother coming at me on this.” To which the producer Faisal Rafi added that, “Of South Asia, I dare say.”

 

Bhatt joined the conversation on social media and agreed that Karachi, the southern city of Pakistan, indeed offers the best food in South Asia. “I second that,” said Bhatt on Twitter.

 

The Bhatt family of the Indian film industry shares a warm equation with Pakistan. The former actress had visited Pakistan in 2016 to attend a fashion week. She walked the ramp with Junoon’s Ali Azmat.

She visited Pakistan again in 2017 to attend the birthday bash of the Azmat in Lahore and later travelled to Karachi.

During her visit to Pakistan, she tried out food from various restaurants from Karachi to Okara. She even posted pictures of street art in Karachi on her Instagram account.

The actress has visited Pakistan many times before. Bhatt is the daughter of famous Indian producer, Mahesh Bhatt, who has several times cast Pakistani actors in his films.

Both father and daughter talk about peaceful relations between India and Pakistan. During her visit to Pakistan, Pooja Bhatt had wished for peaceful relations between both countries so she could travel more easily to the other side of the border.

Pooja Bhatt visited Pakistan in 2002 for the first time. She has voiced her fondness for Pakistan in several interviews.

She says Pakistan has played a big role in her love life and marriage. According to her, she met her former husband Manish Makhija through Pakistani singer Ali Azmat. Bhatt says Makhija was a close friend of Azmat. She married Manish within two months of meeting him.
