Man working at Diamer-Basha dam fired for protesting against govt

A man working at Diamer-Basha Dam claims that he has been fired from his job after protesting against the coalition government in a viral video.

A few days back, a video of a group of employees working at Diamer-Basha Dam went viral on social media just before the visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the dam site. PM Sharif had visited the dam site two to three days after taking the oath. Upon his arrival, the workers had recorded their protest against the coalition government in the video.

The workers in the video were seen chanting the slogan ‘Imported Hakumat Namanzoor’ (Imported Government Unacceptable). The video had gone viral on social media. In the video, the man, standing with colleagues, said that country has been taken over by the corrupt mafia and that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is coming to visit the dam site just to draw the attention of people. Hence, they disapprove of this coalition
government.

Now, one of the men in the video claims he has been fired from his job. In the video, he claimed that soon after their protest, the government excercized pressure on the company through WAPDA to fire him from his job. Following his removal from the job, he came to attend the public rally of Imran Khan in Lahore to record his protest.
