Marriyum Aurangzeb heckled, called out in London

Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb heckled in London as she went to a coffee shop.

Marriyum Aurangzeb is currently in London along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other cabinet members to meet former ousted premier Nawaz Sharif. Protestors spotted her walking on the streets of London and going to a coffee shop.

Several videos of her being called out by PTI protestors in London have been making rounds on social media. PTI protestors chased her in the coffee shop too. They surrounded her and called her out. Marriyum Aurangzeb remained unfazed in the face of constant heckling and protest. She remained calm. Protestors argued that Marriyum Aurangzeb talks a lot on television but here she does not even have a dupatta on her head. Some were heard saying that Pakistan is drowned with floods but the entire cabinet is traveling in London and enjoying coffee.

“Sad to see the toxic impact IK’s politics of hate & divisiveness has had on our brothers & sisters. I stayed & answered each & every question they had. Sadly, they are victims of IK’s propaganda. We will continue our work to counter IK’s toxic politics & bring people together,” said Marriyum Aurangzeb in a tweet. PMLN blames Imran Khan for the heckling incident of Marriyum Aurangzeb in London.

Twitter is divided over the incident. The State minister is receiving support from social media users. They are praising her for showing calm and restraint. Meanwhile, several social media users reposted the videos of Marriyum Aurangzeb calling out and disrespecting the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. She is drawing support from other PMLN politicians.

Other social media users condemned the behavior of PTI protestors for targeting Marriyum Aurangzeb.

Earlier, Marriyum Aurangzeb was heckled in Masjid-e-Nabwi as well.
