PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz lambasted the reporter for questioning the presence of Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb along with her at court.
The video appeared on Friday in which Maryam Nawaz got visibly angry when the reporter asked and objected to Marriyum Aurangzeb accompanying her at hearings at the expense of state resources. He said that Aurangzeb spends three to four hours away from work when she should be sitting in her office working for the people. The reporter asked does Maryam Nawaz feel that being a federal minister and drawing a salary from the government, Marriyum Aurangzeb should be at work instead of wasting three to four hours with her.
Maryam Nawaz apparently did not like the question and lambasted the reporter. She argued that he can complain if Marriyum Aurangzeb is not doing her work properly, which is not the case as she is doing her job perfectly.

The reporter again questioned her presence in the light of the claims of the government of austerity measures to save expenditure. He said that according to the call for austerity, Marriyum Aurangzeb should be in her office instead of wasting state resources to be with Maryam Nawaz during her hearing in court.

Maryam Nawaz again responded in anger and stopped the reporter from speaking further. She argued that Marriyum Aurangzeb spends her time in office serving the nation. According to Nawaz, Aurangzeb sat in her office till late at night to work on the budget.
Nawaz added that Marriyum Aurangzeb is also a party member hence she can accompany her to the court hearing.

The video went viral on social media that stirred a discussion on the response of Maryam Nawaz to allegedly being asked a ‘tough’ question. Several social media users agreed that the reporter asked a valid question from Maryam Nawaz. Netizens believe that Maryam Nawaz is not being asked tough questions in her interviews and press conferences.
