Maryam’s and Hussain Nawaz’s sons arrested due to attacks on protestors

News Desk |

The sons of Maryam Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz have been arrested by London police after they scuffled with a group of protesters outside the Sharif family’s London residence.

Junaid Safdar, Maryam Nawaz’s son, and Zikeriya, Hussain Nawaz’s son, reportedly punched protesters outside family’s London residence. Junaid Safdar has claimed that the protester had first attacked him. According to sources, the Sharif family has contacted the lawyers for Junaid and Zikeriya’s release.

The protests have been held outside the Sharif family’s London residence since an accountability court sentenced Nawaz Sharif and Maryam to prison for 10 and 7 years respectively in what has come to be known as the Avenfield case.

Earlier, a PML (N) leader Nisar Butt was also arrested by London police due to his manhandling of anti Nawaz protestors as well as snatching their cell phones. Many have asserted that these attacks on peaceful protestors highlight the dictatorial mindset of the Sharif clan who have ruthlessly cracked down on peaceful protests when they ruled Pakistan.
