As Pakistan marked its 71st Independence Day, the country’s popular beverage Rooh Afza took to the streets of Toronto, Canada and hoisted Pakistan flag at world’s famous building Eaton Centre on August 14th. Rooh Afza’s grand gesture of love for the country warmed the souls of millions of Pakistanis living in every part of the world.
The screens of the Eaton Center turned green when Rooh Afza paid a rich tribute to its homeland. Rooh Afza felicitated the nation over successfully completing the journey of seven decades. A similar activity was organized on several Metro Tube stations in London. An open invitation was circulated on social media inviting people to visit these Metro Stations.
The parent company Hamdard invited people in large numbers from all over the world to gather at Eaton Centre, Toronto, to witness this historic event. The heartwarming expression of love is part of the campaign initiated by Rooh Afza titled ‘Ishq Pakistan’ that is encouraging people to express their admiration for this South Asian country. Rooh Afza’s marvelous gestures have garnered it massive appreciation on social media.
The campaign Ishq Pakistan became a popular campaign on social media. It is inspired from the soulful quote of the acclaimed scholar Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi ” What You Seek Is Seeking You’. It speaks of the highest level of love ‘Ishq’ for anything; a devotees total submission.
Rooh Afza has expressed “unconditional love for Pakistan, loyalty, affection and allegiance for Pakistan. Ishq that makes one ready to pledge, his life, his fortune, and his sacred honor with the heart that beats for the green and white. “
Rooh Afza fascinates New Yorkers at Times Square
Earlier, Rooh Afza marked 23rd March Pakistan’s Resolution Day with similar fervor at Times Square, New York. In a remarkable expression, 30-second Ad animations were played at Times Square, sentimental heart of North America. `The New Yorkers were totally mesmerized with the taste and look of the drink.
The roots of ‘Rooh Afza’ can be traced back to times of pre-partition era. Encompassing the traditional values of the era, the beverage has been serving the subcontinent since 1906 and hence it is also known as Mashroob-e-Mashriq (the drink of East).
