US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo lauded PM Imran Khan’s grand reception by Pakistani expats at Capital One Arena, Washington DC. The Jalsa, attended by a mammoth of Pakistani expats, became a global phenomenon on social media.
Mike Pompeo commented on the resounding success of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s thumping power show at the Captial One Arena. The US Secretary of State said; ‘They were just telling me you were a rock star at the Capital One Arena’, to PM Khan, at the beginning of the meeting.
People have pinned hopes that with PM Khan’s positive representation at the international arena during his visit to the USA will shatter the rigid stereotypes held against Pakistanis globally.
Imran Khan, accepting the compliment, with a broad smile, replied; ‘It was love’.

PM Khan commenced his three-day visit to the USA with a massive public gathering, addressing Pakistani expats at Capital one Arena in Washington DC, a day before he reached the White House to meet President Donald Trump. The massive jalsa seems to have made reverberations amongst the ranks of US state officials.
On the other hand, Pakistani-American billionaire, Shahid Khan, the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League, also admired Prime Minister Imran Khan. He expressed his confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and stated that he has the potential to make Pakistan a great country.

“I have hope, I think the future of Pakistan is going to be fabulous with Imran Khan. It is proud to be a Pakistani again. Imran Khan is greater than life and the best thing that happened to Pakistan at least in my lifetime,” praised Shahid Khan.
