Murad Saeed named best minister by PM Khan

In a bid to appreciate the ministers for their outstanding performance, PM Imran Khan decided to award certificates to the top 10 ministers. In this regard, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Shehzad Arbab submitted the report to the Prime Minister's Office. 

PM Imran Khan names Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed as the best performing minister. Minister Murad Saeed bagged the top place in today’s certificate distribution ceremony.

PM Khan congratulated Minister Murad Saeed for achieving the top position and said that the youngest cabinet member had delivered well regarding his ministry.

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Planning and NCOC head Asad Umar came second. Meanwhile, Dr. Sania Nishtar bagged the third spot. The ministers will also receive a bonus and the employees of the ministers will receive extra allowances.

For good governance, the PM Office and the Federal Ministries signed performance agreements under which all the Ministries set targets. In this regard, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Shehzad Arbab submitted the report to the Prime Minister’s Office.

Other ministers who received the certificate of appreciation were Federal Minister for Industries & Production Khusro Bakhtyar, National Security Adviser Moeed Yusuf, and Adviser for Commerce Abdul Razzak Dawood. Furthermore, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed, Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari, and Federal Minister for Food Security and Research also received the certificates.

Need to improve performance of ministries: PM Khan

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister stressed that improved performance of ministries is very critical to achieving the country’s self-sufficient target.

Furthermore, he said the government is fully focusing on ensuring good governance. The main objective is to improve the lives of the people. Performance assessment is imperative to bring improvement in the bureaucracy, PM stressed. Furthermore, he advised the ministers who did not receive certificates to reflect and work harder.

Also, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry, while showing good sportsmanship, congratulated the ministers for receiving the certificates.

“Congratulations to the ten cabinet ministries on their excellent performance. We could not make room this time because performance is measured by the implementation of projects that the ministry gives to the PM’s office,” Fawad Chaudhry tweeted.
