Netizens question landing of Ishaq Dar in PAF jet

Due to Pakistan's economic woes, it was decided by the PML-N government that Ishaq Dar would return and take charge as the Finance Minister.

PML-N senior leader and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar returned to Pakistan after a self-exile of nearly five years. He accompanied Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif who was also returning after his official visits to the United Kingdom and the United States.

A Pakistan Airforce Jet (PAF) was used for this purpose, which landed at the Nur Khan Airbase in Chaklala, Rawalpindi. Therefore, netizens are questioning the use of a PAF jet for Ishaq Dar’s return, who has corruption cases leveled against him.

“The fugitive returned home with state protocol after five years on the run,” Azhar Mashwani, PTI’s focal person tweeted.

“I love Pakistan Air Force, this is so heartbreaking and humiliating,” a Twitter user wrote.

“Corruption is not a problem for some people. The return of a fugitive in a Pakistan Airforce Plane,” journalist Umer Inam tweeted.

“Darnomics – brought to you by Pakistan Air Force,” Journalist Nuzhat Nazar tweeted.

“His Excellency Mr Ishaq Dar, the absconder is back in a Pakistan Air Force plane. The only thing missing from this drama is the guard of honor. This is the whole system we got in 75 years. Simply shameful,” a PTI supporter wrote.

Pertinent to mention that Ishaq Dar accompanied Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif who was returning to Pakistan after his official visits. Nevertheless, netizens are still questioning the use of the PAF jet. Moreover, they are also demanding his arrest. Anti-Ishaq Dar trends are going viral on social media.
