No truth in Imran Khan secretly calling US envoy – PTI

Earlier, reports emerged that PTI Chairman and former premier Imran Khan "secretly" contacted US Ambassador to Pakistan. The alleged contact is being considered a "U-turn" by Imran Khan and his US bashing.

PTI has denied that Imran Khan contacted US Ambassador Donald Blome and termed the reports “fake news”. PTI leaders claim the aforementioned report is part of a vilification campaign against the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Earlier, reports emerged that PTI Chairman and former premier Imran Khan “secretly” contacted US Ambassador Donald Blome.

“The rate at which fake news is being spread is also at record-breaking speed, just like the inflation records being set every week by this imported government. Now a fake story about a phone call between Imran Khan and the US ambassador is being peddled,” PTI leader Asad Umar tweeted.

Meanwhile, PTI’s Shireen Mazari – who has been very vocal about the US conspiracy against Imran Khan – claimed that more “fake claims and evidence” will emerge.

“There is absolutely no truth in Imran Khan having had any conversation on cell/video link with US envoy Blome. It is part of a vilification campaign planned against Imran Khan by an imported government terrified of Imran Khan politically. We expect more such fake claims and evidence will follow!” Shireen Mazari tweeted.

More on Imran Khan’s contact with US envoy

Reports emerged that Imran Khan has established contact with United States Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome.

According to the details, KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan allegedly facilitated a video call between the two. Pertinent to mention that KP Chief Minister recently hosted Donald Blome as the US government bestowed 36 vehicles on the KP government.

The video call between Imran Khan and Donald Blome reportedly happened on August 4 from around 1:45 pm to 2:15 pm. The PTI chief reportedly told the diplomat that the United States Assistant Secretary Donald Lu’s views should not have become the official American stance.

Interestingly, the revelation – which is yet to be either rejected or confirmed by Imran Khan or the US embassy – has caused quite a stir in Pakistan. The contact is being considered a “U-turn” by Imran Khan and his US bashing.
