News Desk |

Pakistani calligraphy artist Sonia Nisa met Prime Minister Imran Khan at his Bani Gala residence in Islamabad and gifted him his unique calligraphy portrait.

Sonia, who lives in Qatar, had sketched a calligraphy portrait of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The portrait incorporates the national anthem of Pakistan. Her marvelous skills came to public attention after her video went viral on social media a few days back.

The artist took to social media and shared her time-lapse video of sketching a portrait of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The intention of circulating the video on social media was to help her get the attention of the public so she could present the portrait to the PM of Pakistan.

“I decided to design and paint a calligraphy portrait of the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan with the Pakistani national anthem personified within his face. This will be displayed at an Art Exhibition in Souq Waqif, Doha, Qatar,” she had shared on Instagram.

“This project took me about 8 to 10 hours to complete and I was up awake painting it until 2 am on Monday so I could possibly gift it to him when he visits Qatar the next day (January 22, 2019) but unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to meet him nor pass the gift onto him”, she added.

“An honest, inspirational, and just leader who I sincerely admire as a role model!” she added.
