Picture of Argentina star Lionel Messi lifting the FIFA World Cup Qatar trophy in 2022 has become the most liked picture by any sportsperson with 68 million likes and counting.

Messi dumped his pictures from the final ceremony lifting the trophy in Qatar’s Lusail Stadium with his team. Argentina won the final against France on penalty shootouts 4-2. The football legend lifted the trophy wearing a traditional Arabic robe.

The comments section is full of people congratulating him and appreciating him for the victory.  “CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD! So many times I dreamed it, so much I wanted it that I still don’t fall, I can’t believe it,” he said.

“Thank you so much to my family, to all who support me, and also to all who believed in us. We prove once again that Argentinians when we fight together and are united we are able to achieve what we aim for. The merit of this group, which is above individuals, is the strength of all fighting for the same dream that was also one of all Argentinians… We did it!!! LET’S GO ARGENTINA DAMN!!!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 We’re seeing each other very soon… 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷,” said Messi in his message posted on Instagram.

In a new set record, Adidas has sold out the official jersey of Messi and Argentina team kit worldwide. The brand says they are “working to meet the extraordinary demand for jerseys and more stock will be available soon.”
