PML-N workers attack tent serving biryani at Maryam Nawaz’s Kasur jalsa

Videos of the chaotic scenes are going viral on social media. The videos were widely shared by PTI leaders who accused PML-N of luring people to Maryam Nawaz's jalsa with the promise of biryani.

PML-N workers attending the rally of Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz in Kasur raised chaos when the time for iftar drew near and PML-N served food to its workers and supporters.

The party arranged an iftar for over 25000 people, which included one of the most beloved traditional dishes – biryani. However, PML-N workers attacked the tent serving the biryani and left with the food. A fight also reportedly broke out in the tent over the food.

Maryam Nawaz lashes out at judiciary – Again!

Addressing the party rally in Kasur, Maryam Nawaz, who has been indirectly accusing the chief justice for the past several weeks of forming benches comprising partisan judges in political cases and also other judges of “questionable integrity”, upped the ante, by naming and cautioning the top judge against aiding Imran.

“The courts are taking suo motu notice today on the words of this madman (Imran). So I want to tell you, with great respect, Umar Ata Bandial sahab do not follow after this man. He has used every facilitator of his and later turned on them,” she said.

Maryam Nawaz said the country’s situation would not have deteriorated to this extent if the CJP had “punished” Imran for violating the Constitution at the time of the no-confidence vote.

“The nation is asking why someone who committed such a serious crime was let go scot free,” she said. Maryam also questioned why the CJP only took notice of matters concerning the Constitution when Imran talked about them.

While referring to comments made by CJP Bandial earlier this week regarding queues for subsidized wheat and the cost of elections during the SC hearing on the postponement of polls in Punjab, she said the government has Rs20 billion for elections in Pakistan one time, not thrice.
