President of PTI Women’s Wing gets blackmailed

It is unclear who sent the messages or who the "other party" is in the scenario but the PTI leader made a tacit reference to the incumbent government while sharing the messages on Twitter.

President of PTI Women’s Wing Kanwal Shauzab is allegedly getting blackmailed. However, the PTI leader has claimed that she is not afraid and she will fight back.

According to the details, Kanwal Shauzab shared screenshots of a series of WhatsApp messages she received from an unknown number, demanding payment for “holding” a video, otherwise, the “other party is ready to pay whatever” is demanded.

The messages also warned that the “other party” can hire someone to spread fake and fabricated videos of the PTI leader to defame them for political gains. However, if Kanwal Shauzab pays $50,000 in advance then the video won’t spread, and even if it did it would be proven as fake or fabricated.

“It is very unfortunate that politicians hired social media platforms against each other with leaked videos of every other [politcal leaders]” one of the messages read.

PML-N’s media cell behind propaganda?

It is unclear who sent the messages or who the “other party” is in the scenario but Kanwal Shauzab made a tacit reference to the incumbent government while sharing the messages on Twitter.

“The sim is from Dubai but the threat is local. The fascist regime that made duplicate videos of Shahbaz Gill by using deepfake is afraid of competition in the field, which is why such threats are coming. Honor and humiliation are in the hands of Allah. I am not afraid of such filth, this is war. I am a responsible mujahid and I will fight hard,” Kanwal Shauzab claimed.

Pertinent to mention that PTI’s political rival PML-N has often been accused of spreading propaganda against PTI, for instance, a report emerged that PML-N had activated its strategic media cell to malign PTI and its chairman Imran Khan besides building a narrative to prove PTI as anti-armed forces.

According to the report, PML-N’s media cell allegedly created social media accounts that appeared to belong to PTI and launched an organized campaign on social media against Imran Khan and PTI after the martyrdom of Pakistan Army officers in the Lasbela military helicopter crash. Negative propaganda was also launched against the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi.
