Proud of my ruling on No Confidence Motion: Qasim Suri

Qasim Suri, the Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri, says that he is proud of deciding on the No Confidence Motion in the National Assembly. Suri said that nation appreciates his decision.

“Slaves of foreign powers are involved in a regime change. My ruling was for Pakistan and I will take pride in it my whole life,” said Suri. He said that the conspiracy of regime change is being implemented in Pakistan. He added that the commission has been formed to probe the conspiracy in the country.

He argued that Supreme Court did not review the decision by the National Security Committee that was endorsed by all the institutions. “Had they reviewed it [the ruling], they would have endorsed it,” he added. The Supreme Court had reversed the decision and called it ‘unconstitutional’.

The court in its order said, “The ruling of the Deputy Speaker… to the resolution for a vote of no-confidence against the Prime Minister… is declared to be contrary to the Constitution and the law and of no legal effect, and the same is hereby set aside”
