“PTI hired Lobbyists,” but “Lu falsified Imran khan” Tarar slams PTI

Tarar condemned PTI's hiring of a lobbying firm for the Congress hearing.

Tarar condemned PTI’s hiring of a lobbying firm for the Congress hearing, labeling it as a ploy to serve Imran Khan’s interests rather than the nation’s. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan on Wednesday, accusing him of orchestrating a drama solely for personal gain.

These comments from the minister followed statements made by Donald Lu, the State Department’s senior official for South and Central Asia, who refuted allegations of conspiracy against him during a congressional panel session. Reacting to Lu’s remarks, Tarar highlighted the exposure of PTI’s deceit and hypocrisy, emphasizing that the party’s actions, including orchestrating riots and protests outside the IMF headquarters, were detrimental to Pakistan’s national interests.

Tarar vehemently criticized PTI’s tactics, particularly hiring lobbyists in the US to influence the congressional hearing, which ultimately backfired, leading to Imran Khan being branded as a “certified liar.” He emphasized that PTI’s attempts to malign Pakistan on the international stage only resulted in damaging the country’s diplomatic relations.

Will Protect National interest

The minister pointed out Imran Khan’s misleading claims of a foreign conspiracy against his government, which he used as a pretext to incite public sentiment. However, Tarar emphasized that these tactics had failed, leading to Imran Khan’s humiliation on a global scale, as evidenced by widespread coverage in international media.

Tarar also criticized PTI for misleading the youth, running smear campaigns against the country, and orchestrating conspiracies for personal gain. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting national interests and ensuring justice in the ongoing cipher case, which he described as a clear example of enemies attempting to undermine Pakistan’s stability.

Lu’s testimony further discredited PTI’s conspiracy narrative, urging Pakistani authorities to investigate any irregularities in the recent general election and take appropriate actions if credible evidence of interference was found.
