Earlier, after resigning as a senator, senior politician Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar announced to quit PPP. To clarify, during the interview, Mustafa Nawaz Kokhar had said that the establishment’s interference in politics did not end at the time of the no-confidence motion — and it still hasn’t ended.

Meanwhile, PPP leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain called Mustafa Nawaz Khokar’s announcement of leaving PPP a “good decision”.

During the interview, Mustafa Nawaz Khokar revealed that differences arose between him and the PPP leadership over his stance on the government’s policies.

“I wish the best for Peoples Party. I feel honored to serve as a member of the party, but I am no longer its part anymore,” Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar said.

“I am as much part of PPP as Miftah Ismail is of the PML-N. Let’s see where I head next from here,” the former senator said. Earlier, PML-N leader Miftah Ismail resigned as Finance Minister.

Shortly after his resignation from PPP, speculations have risen on social media that Mustafa Nawaz Khokar may join PTI. Similar speculations also arose when he resigned as a senator. However, at that time, Mustafa Nawaz Khokar said that he will not join any political party.
