PTI’s Qasim Khan Suri rules Pakistani and Indian media

Qasim Suri's video clip of giving a ruling on the NCM has been doing the rounds on social media in Pakistan and on all news channels in India.

Deputy Speaker, Qasim Suri has been trending on Indian and Pakistan media outlets since Sunday. Qasim Suri took the seat in the National Assembly of Pakistan after the opposition had filed a no-confidence motion against Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser.

Hence, Qasim Suri chaired the final proceedings of the no-confidence motion on Sunday, April 3rd. Qasim Khan Suri rejected the no-confidence motion under Article 5 of the Constitution of Pakistan, ending the session in five minutes. He announced his decision to dismiss the No Confidence Move after Law Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, objected to the move under Article 5 of the Constitution. Endorsing the objections, Qasim Suri rejected the NCM against PM Imran Khan.

Qasim Suri added that no foreign power has the right to overthrow the elected government of Pakistan and he rejects the NCM according to the rules. His video clip of giving a ruling on the NCM has been going on rounds on social media in Pakistan and on all news channels in India.

Qasim Khan Suri gets media coverage in India

While Pakistani netizens are commenting on his remarks, mostly appreciating and enjoying his clip. Indian media is broadcasting news on his political background and his association with the Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf.

Qasim Khan Suri has been known for keeping an aggressive approach in the National Assembly. Often he refused to be overpowered by the members of the opposition and treasury.

Meanwhile, Indian News Channel Zee News also complimented Prime Minister Imran Khan’s bold move to dissolve assemblies, saying that he did surprise the opposition and the whole world. The anchor praised the power of Pakistani politics, which he compared with a cricket match.

They said Fawad Chaudhry started batting from Khan’s team. At the same time, Qasim Khan Suri ended the innings with a massive sixer, dismissing the No-Confidence Motion against PM Khan, terming it unconstitutional, and a foreign conspiracy to dislodge the current government.
