The information minister assured all-out cooperation for local and international publicity of Pakistan’s diplomatic successes as well as national narrative.

Federal Minister for Broadcasting and Information, Fawad Chaudhry, has been all over social media since yesterday following his BBC interview on ‘HardTalk’ with the host, Stephen Sackur.

Fawad Chaudhry intrepidly responded to some hard-hitting questions on sensitive topics of civil-military relations, woes of journalists, alleged forced disappearances, and others. The minister equally dominated the interview, clips of which are circulating on social media.

Justa few days ago, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, had trended on social media for his unbridled statements on the Israel-Palestine crisis and the standing of western media on the subject in his interview with CNN. His comments of ‘deep pockets’ and ‘influential people’ ostensibly controlling the western media had irked the CNN anchor Bianna Golodryga that she labeled his statements as ‘anti-semitic’.

Mehmood Qureshi had received a rousing welcome upon his arrival in Islamabad. Similarly, Fawad Chaudhry is also garnering heroic praise on social media.
