Saba Faisal, Ushna Shah working with Bollywood’s Anurag Kashyap?

The actors posted an update about their ongoing professional engagement with the Bollywood director, however, they did not reveal much about the project. Meanwhile, in 2018, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap had expressed his wish to visit and work in Pakistan.

Pakistani actors, Ushna Shah and Saba Faisal are currently shooting in Belarus with ace Indian director, Anurag Kashyap.

Pakistani veteran actor, Saba Faisal, took to Instagram from Minsk where the cast and crew of the upcoming project have been working. “Today is the first day of why I am currently in Belarus,” the Qayamat star shared in a video. “You will get to see our upcoming project with a great director.”

Ushna Shah also shared the video of chatting with director Anurag Kashyap. “Cross border collaboration,” the Parizaad actor shared, adding, “Honoured and excited to learn from this institution.” She went on to hashtag Anurag Kashyap. However, Ushna Shah clarified that the upcoming project is not a collaboration with Anurag Kashyap. She said she will let people know when that happens.

“Getting tips from the great AK (Anurag Kashyap) doesn’t mean I am on a current project with him.” Ushna concluded with, “Will let you know when that happens,” wrote Ushna Shah in an Instagram story.

Meanwhile, in 2018, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap had expressed his wish to visit and work in Pakistan. “I would love to film in Pakistan. I have always wanted to visit and attend the literature festivals but it never worked out. I have friends who have visited Pakistan and they tell me how badly they want to go again,” said Anurag Kashyap in his interview.

Kashyap’s criticism of Modi

Anurag Kashyap has been a vocal critic of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) bill. He hit out at Prime Minister, Narendra Modi directly for introducing the controversial bill.

Back in 2020, the director recently took to Twitter in Hindi, demanding the PM to reveal his birth certificate and that of his father before asking the citizens for their documents.

“Today CAA has been enforced. Tell Modi to first show his papers, his degree in ‘entire political science’ as well as his father’s and family’s birth certificate to the entire nation. Then ask for our papers,” said Anurag Kashyap.

In another tweet, Kashyap went on to call the government “dumb” for its actions while also comparing CAA to demonetization.

“This government can get into a dialogue if they know how to talk. They can not face a single question that’s not been vetted, they don’t have a plan, they haven’t put out a system. This is a dumb government,” said Kashyap boldly.

“There CAA is like demonetization. No plan. No vision. Just bullying.” concluded the director.
