Former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has been blessed with a baby girl. The cricketer shared the news on Friday afternoon with his followers on social media.
Shoaib Akhtar posted his picture holding his baby girl with the caption, “Mikaeel & Mujaddid have a baby sister now. Allah taala has blessed us with a baby daughter. Welcoming Nooreh Ali Akhtar, born during Jumma prayers, 19th of Shaban, 1445 AH. 1st of March, 2024. Aap sab ki duaon ka talab gaar, Shoaib Akhtar.”
The cricketer already has two sons. The comment section under his post on X was bombarded with posts of congratulations and warm greetings for his family.
Shoaib tied the knot with Rubab Khan on June 25, 2014. Since then, they have expanded their family, now blessed with three children. Their eldest, Mohammad Mikaeel Ali, was born in November 2016. Their second son arrived on July 14, 2019.

Akhtar bid farewell to international cricket following his final appearance for Pakistan against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2011 group stages. Throughout his Test career, he secured 178 wickets in 46 matches, achieving notable milestones such as 12 five-wicket hauls and two ten-wicket hauls.

A few days back cricketer Hassan Ali also announced the birth of a second baby daughter. Ali posted the news of her arrival on X. “We are pleased to share that Alhumdulilah we have been blessed with a baby girl earlier this morning. Both mother and daughter are healthy. We request you all to remember us in your prayers,” said the cricketer in his X message.
Similar news floated on social media from cross-border India on Thursday when Bollywood celebrity couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their first pregnancy. The couple took to Instagram and posted a heartfelt note informing their fans and followers of the latest development. The baby is expected to arrive in September 2024.
