Toyota is now giving owners the opportunity to have the firm purchase back the recently released Toyota bZ4X, which is already the subject of a significant recall.
Toyota has written to customers to caution them not to drive the car until a repair has been found.
Owners who decide to keep their cars can:
- Obtain reimbursements if the vehicle was fully paid for.
- continued, cost-free use of a loaner car
- holding their bZ4X
- No-cost charging
- Extending manufacturer warranties
If customers are still unsatisfied with that offer, Toyota is now providing a buyback option for the car.
The location of the sale and the location of the car will determine the terms and conditions.

Whether anyone has accepted Toyota’s offer is unknown at this time.
However, it’s important that Toyota has made a repurchase proposal.
But some owners paid dealer mark-ups for these cars, therefore customers are currently suing Toyota for the excess.

The Subaru Solterra is also being recalled for the same problem in addition to the Toyota bZ4X.
It is unknown what will happen to individuals who have reservations for the car, even if we have not yet seen any of Solterra’s land in North America. The same is true for bZ4X reservations made in Canada.
At the very least, call it a mess. If you own a bZ4X, please get in touch with us and let us know what you plan to do with it.
