President Donald Trump said Iran has been hit very hard following the ninth night of military strikes on Iranian military installations and assets. The strikes continued across Iran on Monday night. Military casualties and expanded attacks in recent days have deepened fears of a wider war.
The U.S. has also reported a death of another American service member who was killed in northern Iraq during the controlled detonation of a downed Iranian drone. U.S. Central Command also said that it has located unidentified remains in Jordan, where a separate Iranian attack left two U.S. troops dead and one missing in action.
US targeted, targeted command centers, air defense sites, maritime assets, missile facilities, and communication networks. The Iranian Atomic Energy says multiple projectiles hit the under-construction Darkhovin nuclear power plant site, according to local media. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has condemned the attack on the Darkhovin nuclear power plant, saying the site was for peaceful purposes.

This is the first time since the beginning of the US-Israel war on February, the US-Israel war Iran on February 28 that the US has directly struck a nuclear power plant. There has been, there isn’t a fear of nuclear material there. Since the site is under construction, there is no nuclear material there. Hence, no radiation and no leak of nuclear materials.
The site has been an important project for Iran because it started to construct it in 2022 and was aiming to finish it or to complete it by 2030. Earlier in the day, previously, US attacked the vicinity of Bushehr nuclear power plant, and then we have also seen throughout the initial 28 days of the war that some of the reactors and research centers were hit by the US. US has also previously targeted Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan in June 2025.
