The heart of this collaboration lies in the provision of “need-based” scholarships, a lifeline for students navigating the challenges of academia. These scholarships will cover two semesters, offering financial reprieve to deserving students across eight diverse departments. The departments include international relations, economics, psychology, mass communication, chemistry, statistics, mathematics, and computer science.

UoK Students Making Waves Worldwide

Dr. Iraqi, effusive in his praise for UoK students, highlighted their global impact and the pride they bring to the university. “Our students have good potential, and that is why they are making a name around the globe,” he noted. This stands as a testament to the university’s dedication to supporting its students as they strive for excellence.

Alumni Leadership

The UKAHA Houston President, Muhammad Azam Akhtar, emphasized the pivotal role played by the alumni body in shaping their success. He expressed gratitude for the university and its faculty, acknowledging their instrumental role in the achievements of the alumni. Akhtar reassured ongoing support from the alumni body, highlighting their unwavering commitment to the future success of UoK students.

Financial Assistance Evolution

In recognition of the challenges posed by inflation and increased living costs, UKAHA has significantly increased the annual financial grant. The grant has been elevated from Rs 500,000 to a commendable Rs 1 million, a move that underscores the alumni association’s dedication to adapting and responding to the evolving needs of students. This augmentation builds upon the 2019 agreement, showcasing a commitment to staying abreast of the economic landscape to better support students.

A Bright Future

The “UKAHA Academic Achievement Award” is not just a scholarship program; it’s a beacon of hope and empowerment for students at the University of Karachi. As these scholarships pave the way for academic success, they also signify a shared vision for a brighter and more inclusive future.
