Uzma Bukhari receives a truck of flour sacks at residence

Punjab Food Authority delivered a truck of flour sacks at the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's MPA, Uzma Bukhari. She accused the Punjab government of creating a spectacle outside her house. Perhaps, it was a purported attempt to bully Uzma Bukhari, a harsh critic of PTI and to deflect attention from the ongoing wheat and flour crisis across the country.

Punjab Food Authority delivered a truck of flour sacks at the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s MPA, Uzma Bukhari, who alleged that flour is not available in her residential area in Model Town Lahore.

She slammed the provincial and federal government of Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf for creating a flour crisis in the country, causing mass suffering, in a TV talk show last night. Bukhari asked the provincial and federal government to resign because their incompetence has drawn the entire country into another dilemma.

Hence, the Punjab Food Authority, in a crisp response to Uzma Bukhari, delivered 40 bags of flour at her residence. Fuming with anger, Uzma Bukhari, snubbed the team of Punjab Food Authority and asked them to take these flour bags back and distribute among people who are unable to buy flour from open markets.

Uzma Bukhari said that a truck laden with flour bags reached her residence at the behest of Punjab government. She said men refused to remove the truck and flour bags from the gates of her house despite her orders.

After the authorities refused to leave, she bought a 10Kg bag for the fixed price of Rs.799. But the truck was not moved even after that.

She called the controller of Punjab Food Authority who said that the truck was sent for the area residents and not for her. It took an hour before the truck was removed from her residence.

She accused the Punjab government of creating a spectacle outside her house. Perhaps, it was a purported attempt to bully Uzma Bukhari, a harsh critic of PTI and to deflect attention from the ongoing wheat and flour crisis across the country.

PTI worker Dr. Shahbaz Gill posted the image of flour bags placed outside Uzma Bukhari’s house. He claims that PTI’s MPA, Tanveer Butt, had organized the delivery of flour bags at her residence through the trucks of Punjab Food Authority.
