9 most popular TV shows on streaming services

Every week, Parrot Analytics releases the list of most popular shows from major streaming services. This week, the list includes two Star Wars shows from the Disney Plus: The Mandalorian and the animated "Star Wars: The Clone Wars".

The weekly list of popular shows is based on the viewer’s demands since it shows the desire, engagement, and viewership weighted by importance. Hence, the stream or download is the most explicit expression of ‘demand’. Below are the top nine popular dramas.

The Mandalorian


The online show on Disney Plus topped the rankings with averaged demand expression estimated to be 118,346,852. The show’s first season premiered on Disney Plus on November 12 and its critic score from Rotten Tomatoes stands at 89%. The show is based on the story of the lone gunfighter who makes his way through the lawless galaxy following the decline of the empire.


blankCurrently premiering its second season on DC Universe, it is the second-best online show gaining average expression up to 80,312,589 with rotten tomatoes at 84%. Season 2 of the show brings together the heroes of the DC Universe Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a young girl who possess peculiar darkness and falls in a conspiracy that could destroy the Earth. They are joined by lovable Beast Boys and Starfire.

Strangers Things


Season 3 of the show aired in July on Netflix. The show has 78, 593,3222 demand expression with critics rating it at 90%. The description of the show reads it as a small town that unearths mysteries through experiments after a young boy disappears.

The Crown


Season 3 of the show premiered on Netflix on November 17 has got 47,356,784 demand expression. The critics have scored it at 89%. The demand depicts the political rivalries and romance during Queen Elizabeth 11’s reign and the event that shaped the second half of the 20th century.

Castle Rock


Season 2 of Castle Rock aired on Hulu on October 23rd. The show has demand expression of around 31,106,789 with critics rating it at 89%.

The second season of the psychological-horror series, set in the Stephen King Multiverse, combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works.



Season 4 aired on Netflix on May 8th with demand expression measured to be around 30,087,261. The show’s description read: “Bored with being the Lord of Hell, the devil relocates to Los Angeles, where he opens a nightclub and forms a connection with a homicide detective.”

The Man in the Castle


Season 4 aired on Amazon Prime Video on November 15th. The show has the Rotten Tomatoes critic score at 89% with average demand expression at 29, 534,635.

A drama featuring politics, its description reads: “Juliana Crain is on a mission to take down Reichsmarschall as Nazis infiltrate the world. Helen Smith struggles to keep the family intact. Star Wars


The season debuted on February 7 on Disney Plus. The show has an average demand expression of 27,679,985 with a score of 100% from the Rotten Tomatoes critics. The show features a timeless battle between good and evil set in the galaxy far away.

Good Omens


Its first season premiered on Amazon Prime Video on May 31. The show a demand expression of 27,325,671 and critic ratings at 83%. The fantasy series witnesses the unlikely duo between angel Aziraphale and demon Crawley. These two have developed an extreme fondness for Earth and forced to pair up to stop approaching Armageddon.
