Prime Minister Imran Khan is practicing social distancing-a precautionary move to stop the spread of the coronavirus, as he did not shake hands with and hugged prominent religious scholar, Maulana Tariq Jameel.
Tariq Jameel reached Prime Minister Office today to meet Imran Khan. Both avoided shaking hands and while Imran Khan greeted the religious scholar with a hand on his heart to show respect to him.

The pictures of Imran Khan and Tariq Jameel were posted on Twitter to encourage people to follow the steps amid coronavirus mayhem. Precautions like avoiding handshakes, big gatherings, and reducing human-to-human contact, cleanliness and washing hands are stressed to stop the spread of pandemic coronavirus outbreak.

Reportedly, Imran Khan and Tariq Jameel met to discuss how religious scholars can help and convince people to fight the spread of coronavirus.
Social media users appreciated the gesture of Prime Minister Imran Khan for leading the crisis from the front and setting examples for his followers.

Meanwhile, PM Khan is closely monitoring the situation of the coronavirus outbreak in the country. He called an emergency meeting of the National Security Committee to discuss measures to be taken to prevent the coronavirus from spreading in the country.
On Saturday, he took the nation into confidence and urged people not to panic over the spread of the pandemic in Pakistan.

The prime minister wrote, “I want to inform the nation I am personally overseeing measures to deal with COVID-19 & will address the nation soon. I would advise people to follow safety instructions issued by our govt. While there is a need for caution there is no need for panic,” he emphasized in his tweet.
