Maryam Nawaz concerned over PPP’s go-slow policy on resignations

PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz worried that PPP's go-slow policy and one-sided announcements put PDM's narrative at risk.

PML-N Vice president Maryam Nawaz has expressed grave concerns over PPP’s go-slow policy on resignations and Senate polls and by-polls. She also urged Maulana Fazl ur Rehman PDM to take a decision on the matter of resignations and participation in polls.

Maryam Nawaz met Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence Thursday. She went on to say the unilateral announcements by PPP will weaken PDM.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman assured Maryam Nawaz he is in contact with Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto on this count and he would discuss this issue with them during today’s meeting. PDM meeting will convene soon and a consensus decision will be brought forth.

Sources said that the options for resignations were discussed in addition to Senate polls and by-polls. The government and establishment were held responsible for the efforts aimed at creating a chasm in JUI-F and PML-N ranks.

Consultations were made on protest rallies in Mardan and headway made by PDM so far. The overall political situation of the country was discussed in the meeting.

During the meeting, a telephonic contact took place between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Nawaz Sharif.

PML-N supremo requested Maulana Fazlur Rehman to patronize Maryam Nawaz because she is the future of Pakistan.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said Maryam Nawaz is respectable to me and she is advancing your narrative in a befitting manner.

Nawaz Sharif said PDM has one goal and one destination and we will have to trust each other.

Maryam exposes Nawaz Sharif’s dealing with Israel

To malign Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf and Prime Minister Imran Khan, Maryam ended up exposing Nawaz Sharif’s efforts to normalize ties with Israel in another Twitter faux pas.

The now-deleted tweet contained a small video clip of the interview of the researcher, Noor Dahri to Israeli news channel i24. Dahri in his interview had claimed that an advisor of PM Imran Khan had traveled to Tel Aviv on a British passport, to discuss the normalization of ties with Israel.

In the latter part of the video, Dahri had talked about the efforts made by former Pakistani premiers, Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto, to begin diplomatic relations with Israel. “Looking at history, Nawaz Sharif sent two delegations to Israel to normalize relations,” said Dahri. Dahri said that Nawaz had sent two delegations to Israel to build up ties. It seems that Maryam Nawaz did not listen to the other part of the video.
