Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of Imran Khan, steps in to provide relief for flood victims. She raised the issue of destructive floods in Pakistan in her tweet on Sunday.
In her tweet, she talked about the adverse impact of climate change on Pakistan. Jemima asked people to pray for Pakistan and said, “33 million in Pakistan were affected by the devastating floods. 1000+ killed. 200K+ homes destroyed in Pakistan produce less than 1% of global carbon emissions. But it’s one of the top 10 countries most affected by the climate crisis.”
She also asked for people to guide her on which organizations to donate to that are doing on-ground relief work. “Which is the best charity to donate to for on-the-ground support,” she asked in another tweet.
Netizens shared the list of the organizations working on the ground and their bank details with Jemima Goldsmith. Some asked her to donate to the relief funds set up by former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Many social media users asked her to donate to Al-Khidmat Organization as well. Imran Khan also appreciated the relief efforts done by Al-Khidmat Organization for the flood victims across Pakistan in his live telethon.

During the telethon, several celebrities joined Imran Khan. Chief Minister of Punjab Pervaiz Elahi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan, and the former premier’s ex-assistant on social protection Sania Nishtar also featured in the telethon.
The telethon was a huge success as the former prime minister collected over donations worth Rs5 billion during a three-hour-long telethon. People from within the country and abroad spoke directly to Imran Khan via telephonic calls and offered their donations for the flood-hit victims.
