Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra shared pictures with Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafzai at United Nations General Assembly session(UNGA).
The actress posted pictures with Malala Yousafzai and also shared a post about the same. In one of the pictures Bollywood actor shared with the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, she called Malala Yousafzai ‘remarkable’. “So proud to share the stage with these two remarkable women,” said Priyanka Chopra in one of the social media posts.
She posted videos and pictures of her speech and other speakers at the UNGA session. “Walking through the gates of the United Nations this morning to speak at UNGA for the second time, as a proud representative of UNICEF, gave me real pause,” said Priyanka Chopra.
Priyanka Chopra also spoke about the agendas of the UN for 2022. The actress also spoke about the right to education for children. “The second moment I had the privilege of participating was the Transforming Education Summit. It’s hard to believe that nearly 2/3 of children across the low- middle- and high-income countries cannot read and comprehend a simple story. The system has failed them,” Chopra added in her post.

On the other hand, a picture of Malala Yousafzai preparing for her UNGA speech has been making rounds on social media. She shared a picture of her with an Afghan student on her Instagram account.
“The sweetest practice session ahead of today’s #UNGeneralAssembly ✨” the caption read. She also introduced Afghani students in her post.

“For Somaya, what’s most important is that the leaders in the room, who have influence, don’t make Afghan girls ‘a victim of global politics,” the caption added.
Malala Yousafzai will address the Leader’s Day of the Transforming Education Summit at the UN session. She, along with other activists will speak on the barriers impeding the education of young and school-going children across the world.
