Fans of Keanu Reeves showed their frustration on social media after Avengers Endgame racked up awards from two of three nominations from Critics Choice Award.
Avengers Endgame was selected for Best Sci-Fi or Horror Movie, Best Horror Movie and Best Visual Effects. It won the award for the best movie of 2020 for its extraordinary visual effects. It beat John Wick 3, Ford v Ferrari, Spider-Man: Far From Home and 1917.

The decision of best action film award for MCU’s Avengers Endgame annoyed the fans of John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves.
They expressed bewilderment for awarding Avengers Endgame and overlooking John Wick which was a complete action film.
“Avengers: Endgame winning best Action movie is hilarious when John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum came out the same year,” said a Twitter user.

Another Twitter user wrote, “How is Endgame an action movie? When you had John Wick 3 right there.”
Others argued that Avengers Endgame hardly qualified as an action movie. Some asserted that Avengers Endgame won the award same year John Wick 3 was released. While the decision of the critics was touted as ‘clownery‘.
Both the movies released last year had earned whopping profit but John Wick had amassed profits more than Avengers Endgame.

It ended the reign of Avengers Endgame in the first week of its release. Earlier, Avengers Endgame was seated at the top of the box-office for a fourth consecutive week since its release.

John Wick 3 racked up $57 million from 3,850 North American locations compared to Avengers Endgame profit of $29.4 million collected in the fourth week of its release.

The third installment of John Wick even earned well than its previous two installments. 2014’s John Wick earned $14.4 million and John Wick 2017’s second installment earned $30.4 million. Whereas, John Wick 3 also hit a franchise-record overseas.
