British YouTuber, Jay Palfrey, says he is in love with Pakistan during his recent visit to the country at the end of last month. Palfrey visited the picturesque Skardu, Hunza, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The vlogger released a series of his video on his YouTube channel last week. The video featured the snow-covered Skardu valley and one of the finest tourist attractions, Deosai Plains- the second highest plain in the world.
From the northern region, Palfrey also visited Lahore. He posted a series of images at various attractions including Badshahi Mosque and Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. In one of his videos, he said he is attempting to show the real image of Pakistan to the world. He said a peaceful, vibrant, and a loving Pakistan is not known to many people in the west who continue to believe the scary image sketched by western media of Pakistan.
He stayed in Pakistan for three weeks. Palfrey who had embraced Islam a few months ago had expressed his wish to visit Pakistan in one of his videos.

In one of his posts, he wrote, “I don’t think I have ever been so excited. Already just on the first day, I have experienced the warmest welcome, and the biggest smiles, I can’t wait for the next few weeks exploring this country.”

While sharing his picture clicked in Skardu, he wrote, “I arrived in Skardu yesterday and the past two days have been INCREDIBLE! I knew Pakistan was beautiful, but I’ve been stuck for words to describe this feeling of being here, it’s honestly one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been too 🤩
I can’t wait to show you these videos, the views are EPIC.”
“Pakistan, you are surprising me every day with how beautiful, friendly, and welcoming you are. Can’t wait to continue the journey throughout the mountains,” wrote Palfrey in an Instagram post.

“The reality is media is presenting Pakistan as the opposite – but I can tell you with my whole heart, Pakistan is NOTHING like the media tells you,” said Palfrey in another post.
The vlogger was amused with the beauty and stunning heritage of Lahore. He also wore a Shalwar Kameez suit when he visited Badshahi Mosque.
Palfrey had announced he had embraced Islam in September. Jay Palfrey said he embraced Islam as he found peace while researching and reading about the religion. In a video titled- ‘I became a Muslim’- released on his YouTube account, he explained the circumstances that led to him embracing Islam.
“I was originally not going to share this with you, but a lot of people have found peace and inspiration in my journey through researching Islam,” said Palfrey in the video. He said his visits to the Muslim countries inspired him to read and research more about the religion.
