Former Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari has claimed that covertly building ties with Israel was part of the US conspiracy against Pakistan.
In a new tweet, Shireen Mazari linked Anila Ali’s recent trip to Israel as part of the US regime change conspiracy.
“Anila Ali who organized the “Pak-American” visit to Israel which includes a government/state employee is linked to lying Maryam! Part of US regime change conspiracy agenda – to covertly build up ties with Israel,” Shireen Mazari claimed.
“DG ISPR, does this have official approval?” the former minister further added.

A few days ago, reports emerged on social media of Sharaka hosting a delegation of Muslims in Israel. Sharaka is a non-governmental organization by people from Israel, The United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain after the signing of The Abraham Accords. Sharaka aims to connect the people of the Gulf with Israel.

However, the delegation came under much controversy in Pakistan. The delegation included the first Pakistani Jew who received authorization to travel to Israel. To clarify, Pakistan does not recognize Israel as a state. Moreover, the delegation also included Anila Ali, an academic who works for an NGO in the US.

Another conspiracy?
As a result, Pakistani netizens raised alot of hue and cry. Some claimed that the PML-N government sent the delegation as it wants to normalize ties with Israel. Such claims came based on the reports that a journalist from PTV too accompanied the delegation.
However, it was learned that the Israel visiting delegation has American citizens of Pakistani origin. Therefore, it has nothing to do with the government of Pakistan.

Nevertheless, Shireen Mazari claimed of PML-N connection due to Anila Ali’s meeting with PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz. With her tweet, Shireen Mazari seemingly accused PML-N of backing the US conspiracy and building ties with Israel.
Pertinent to mention, following Imran Khan’s ouster, PTI leaders have been very vocal about Imran Khan being a victim of US conspiracy. Moreover, under the PTI government, Pakistan took a very strong stance against Israel and condemned its blatant human rights violations in Palestine on numerous occasions.
On the other hand, PML-N has often been accused of adopting a comparatively softer stance toward Israel. There were also reports that PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif made contact with Israel during his time as prime minister. Israeli media has claimed that the Pakistani delegation twice visited Tel Aviv during the tenure of Nawaz Sharif.
