The TTP and Afghan Taliban

For around twenty years, Pakistan battled to see a sympathetic government in Kabul. It has long been believed that the use of Afghan land against Pakistan was due to the pro-Indian and pro-American governments of Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani.

Economy in shambles

Inflation remains sky-high, affecting the financial stability of millions of people. Despite the perilous state of economic affairs, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar is hopeful that the situation will be much better by the end of the ongoing fiscal year.

Revival of MQM

Through more inclusive local-level political initiatives and programmes that benefit all residents, regardless of their ethnicity or socioeconomic background, MQM also hopes to increase its appeal to other ethnic communities in Karachi.
