Pertinent to mention, PTI, since Shahbaz Gill’s arrest, has been repeatedly alleging that he has been tortured, humiliated, and sexually assaulted in police custody, however, the police and government deny all claims. The police of the federal capital termed Gill’s illness “an excuse”, saying that the medical board had declared him “completely fit”.

A session court on Monday led the proceedings of the sedition case against Shahbaz Gill. Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal resumed the hearing of a petition seeking interim bail of the PTI leader.

During the hearing, his counsel said Shahbaz Gill could never think of committing treason, rather, the transcript of his statement was altered to misquote him. However, Shahbaz Gill is ready to address any misunderstanding and will even offer an apology to address the confusion.
