Ertugrul’s Bamsi Bey trends in Pakistan after death scene

Pakistani social media users are paying a rich tribute to Nurettin Sonmez for his phenomenal performance as Bamsi Beyrek, a brave warrior and a close aide of Ertugrul Bey and Osman Bey in the hit Turkish series.

Dirilis Ertugrul’s iconic character, Bamsi Bey, trends in Pakistan as he bid farewell to the show after a death scene where he dies during fighting in Kurulos Osman season 2.

Turkish actor, Nurettin Sonmez, essayed the role of Bamsi Beyrek in Dirilis Ertugrul and sequel Kurulus Osman. Bamsi Bey or Nurettin Sonmez has gained a massive fan base in Pakistan. Pakistani social media users are paying a rich tribute to the actor for his phenomenal performance as a brave warrior and a close aide of Ertugrul Bey and his son, Osman Bey.

In their tweets, fans said they wanted to see more of Bamsi Beyrek on screen. The Turkish actor had consistently appeared in all the five seasons of Dirilis Ertugrul and the two seasons of the sequel ‘Kurulus Osman’.

Pakistani Twitter brimmed with the trend #BamsiBey following the death scene of Bamsi Bey in the latest episode of Kurlus Osman broadcasted on Wednesday.

The on-screen death scene of Bamsi Bey confirms the exit of the strongest character of the series. A few episodes earlier, Celal Al, playing the character of Abdur Rehman Gazi took an exit from the show through a similar death scene.


Turkish series ‘Kurulus Osman’ has become the top-rated series in Pakistan, said the writer and producer, Mehmet Bozdag in his tweet.

In his tweet on Tuesday, he wrote about the exceptional success of the series in Pakistan. Pakistani private TV channel has been broadcasting the first season of the series in Urdu dubbing. The series has garnered record-breaking views in Pakistan. The production says ‘Establishment Osman’ surpassed its rivals in the ratings and rankings in Pakistan.

The production is broadcasting the second season of ‘Kurulus Osman.’ Kurulus Osman is the sequel to the entertainment behemoth Turkish historical series, Dirilis Ertugrul. While Dirilis Ertugrul revolved around the life of a Turkish warrior, Ertugrul Gazi, the father of Osman I and who was the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Kurulus Osman (Establishment Osman) depicts the life of Osman I and his fight leading to the establishment of the Turkish empire.
