In a major development, estranged PTI leader and senior politician Jahangir Khan Tareen has reportedly decided to form a new political party.
According to the reported details, the new political party will be at a national level with Jahangir Khan Tareen as the patron-in-chief of the party.
PTI leaders upset with the party are also expected to join the new setup. Apart from those, many political families from Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Muzzafargarh, Lodhran and Multan are expected to join hands with Tareen.
Meanwhile, many “important leaders” from Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have also contacted former PTI leader Jahangir Tareen.
JKT is one of the few rent seeking seths that has global level ambition & drive. And the intellect to back it up. But can his party be much more than a neo PML-Q?
Now if SKA could be talked out of his incredibly solid commitment to Nawaz Sharif?
That would stir our rooh afza. pic.twitter.com/UVvEziBOKG

The latest development comes amid reports of Jahangir Khan Tareen’s political revival being in the works. It was earlier reported that Jahangir Tareen has opened a political office in Lahore.
Former lawmakers of PTI from South Punjab, who recently, parted their ways, also met Jahangir Tareen in Lahore. Reportedly, more than 20 leaders of the PTI have met the party’s estranged leader Jahangir Khan Tareen within a week.
Ever since the clampdown on PTI after the May 9 protests that were held following Imran Khan’s arrest, many leaders have parted ways with the party. Amid the backdrop, it is possible that a forward bloc is likely to pull out of the PTI.
Pertinent to mention that members of the Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) Group had earlier put forth a proposal of forming a new political party named ‘Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nazriyati (PTIN) or Haqeeqi Tehreek-e-Insaaf (HTI) to contest in the elections.
Moreover, a faction called the PTI Haqiqi was formed a day earlier by Rao Yasir, who previously served as PTI Multan district Youth Wing president.
Jahangir Tareen, who was the former confidante of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, has even started efforts to have his disqualification reversed. If the disqualification is reversed, then Jahangir Tareen will be able to play an important role in the country’s politics.
