Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has been embroiled in controversies lately as audio clips of him and his family members have come to the surface. This time around, a purported audio tape of his son and PTI ticket holders has come to the surface
In the first part of the audio leak, Saqib Nisar’s son Najam Saqib and PTI ticket-holder from PP-137 constituency Abuzar Chaddhar were locked in a discussion on the tickets issued. In the second part, Najam Saqib is having a discussion with Mian Uzair.

In the audio, Najam Saqib can allegedly be heard talking about not accepting “less than 120 otherwise he will break his legs”. This part of the conversation has raised speculations that former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has apparently made millions over the distribution of PTI tickets.

The audio has triggered a storm on social media. PML-N has heavily slammed the former Chief Justice while maintaining that the role of Saqib Nisar, who gave illegal decisions against party Quaid Nawaz Sharif, is now in front of the whole nation.
“This is not fair, he was a political trickster who put the country’s economy and integrity at stake for the politics of Tehreek-e-Insaf,” the party said in a tweet.

Earlier, another alleged audio leak featuring former chief justice Saqib Nisar and lawyer Khawaja Tariq Raheem came to the fore. Prior to this, the leaked audio of a phone call between the incumbent top Supreme Court judge’s mother-in-law and Raheem’s wife stirred up a political storm in the country.
Former CJP Saqib Nisar has been the victim of intense political controversy which has heightened due to the PML-N’s allegations against him. PML-N senior leadership has strongly accused the former CJP of meddling in politics, for instance, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lambasted the former chief justice supreme court for banning and halting the projects started by the then PML-N government.

Meanwhile, his niece Maryam Nawaz once described Saqib Nisar as the primary “national culprit” and said the nation will never forgive former chief justice Saqib Nisar and other members of the bench who convicted Nawaz Sharif illegally in the Panama Papers scam.
