Top Supreme Court Advocate Azhar Siddique claimed that former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar’s alleged audio clip is fabricated. The forensic test revealed Saqib Nisar’s leaked audio as fake, Siddique said.
Azhar Siddique made the claims while talking to a private media channel. He said that his journalist friends conducted the forensic with the help of UK experts. The results revealed that the clip went through editing by a software.
To clarify, earlier, an explosive report quoting Rana Shamim stated that Saqib Nisar directed a high court to not release Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz on bail at any cost before the 2018 general elections. Rana Shamim made the claims in a notarized affidavit under oath before the Oath Commissioner. Saqib Nisar denied that he gave any such directions.

Later, an audio clip allegedly featuring Nisar where he gave orders for detaining Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif in order to make space for Imran Khan in politics. However, Saqib Nisar once again denied the authenticity of the clip. Moreover, he said the audio clip is an attempt to malign his name.
The controversy became even more complicated when reports emerged questioning the authenticity of the audio clip. According to the reports, the audio clip was doctored by joining lines from Saqib Nisar’s public speeches.

Interestingly, Garret Discovery, a US firm that conducted a forensic analysis of the alleged audio clip for FactFocus insists that it met all professional requirements. Furthermore, according to sources, Garret Discovery denied that the audio clip went through any editing.
Rana Shamim’s oath comes under question
The PML-N camp resolutely confirms the authenticity of the clip due to Garret Discovery’s verification. However, the controversy will further intensify with Azhar Siddique’s claims.
“Forensic company certified that the video is doctored,” Azhar Siddique said. He further stated that the report on the matter will soon come forward in a couple of days.

Furthermore, Azhar Siddique also claimed that the notary public attested to a fake statement of Rana Shamim. Additionally, Azhar Siddique said that the notary will attest to any statement.
Important to note, the Islamabad High Court heard the contempt case against former CJ GB Rana Shamim after his claims against Saqib Nisar.
