Faisal Vawda’s claims on the creation of jobs

The Federal Minister for Water Resources attracted mockery on social media when he made a hefty claim on the creation of jobs in Pakistan, in Hamid Mir’s TV talk show last year.

The federal minister to deflect criticism on the economic turndown and rising unemployment made a baffling assertion that within weeks Pakistan will witness a swarm of job opportunities that the number of jobs will surpass the number of job seekers in Pakistan.

Vawda said, “whether you talk about the stock exchange, property, industry or even the media, where people are being fired with the onus placed on the government, there will be many jobs and I am urging the owners not to fire people.”

He also said, “We have to put up with the inflation and poor economy because we have no choice. It was passed on to us from the previous governments. We have to take loans to pay off interest left behind for us. But we can offer an incentive to make it easier for the public to bear the inflation.”

Visiting LOC

Reportedly, PM Khan bashed and reprimanded Faisal Vawda, personally after he reached Line of Control and had himself photographed with the rubble of downed Indian fighter Jet last year in February. His stunt was not taken well in the party. PM Khan schooled him to concentrate on his performance and ministry.

Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar

Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar once threatened to end the alliance with PTI if they did not rein in their federal minister Faisal Vawda who irks members of coalition parties with continuous slanders and disrespectful verbal assaults.

“Your [PTI] prime minister came from MQM votes and if you cannot control this federal minister [Faisal Vawda], then we will think of something. We will consider separating from you [PTI] if you cannot control what your federal minister says … he is an unguided missile. He is very immature and doesn’t know politics,” Waseem Akhtar while expressing annoyance.
