German luxury fashion house “Hugo Boss” comes to Pakistan

The international brand Hugo Boss has opened their first Pakistani outlet in Centaurus Mall Islamabad.

The international clothing line Hugo Boss has officially opened their doors for Pakistan as their first outlet was launched in Centaurus Mall Islamabad on 23rd August.

The company sells clothing, accessories, footwear, fragrances and is best known for its men’s suits and other formal wear. Hugo Boss is one of the largest German clothing companies, with global sales of as much as €2.9 billion in 2019.

The initiative has largely been appreciated by the locals as the hashtags #TheBossHasLanded and #HugoBoss become top trends on twitter.

Citizens are also excited since many competitive brands may also open their outlets in Pakistan following the footsteps of Hugo Boss.

This will make Hugo Boss a part of many other international brands that sell products locally produced by Pakistan. Adidas, H&M, Zara and Mango are amongst the top international brands that sell products ‘made in Pakistan’.

The initiative to open the outlet in Pakistan seems to be part of Hugo Boss’s wider plan to attract younger shoppers to the German fashion chain in order to generate and double their sales to 4 billion euros ($4.74 billion) by 2025.

The new Chief Executive Officer Daniel Grieder, a former Tommy Hilfiger executive who joined the chain in June, also wants to sell more via third parties, a process known as wholesale distribution.

Grieder said collaborations with other brands and celebrity endorsement deals are under consideration as this will help the group’s brands get “fans” as well as customers.
