General Zia-ul-Haq’s son, Ijaz-ul-Haq has said that people will be shocked if he takes the name of PML-N MNA’s that he used to find sitting outside the homes of relatives of the Chief of the Army Staff. He said that he had found Shahbaz Sharif at the house of the same relative six times.

He continued to say that now the enemies of Pakistan are instigating sectarian violence and that it was a failure of the Ulema not to come to one platform and solve the issue. He rhetorically asked where were the champions of democracy when General Zia-ul-Haq helped their party when the army helped their party.
He said that he remembers during the 5th OIC Yasir Arafat had said that if they had a Pakistan in its neighborhood, with General Zia-ul-Haq, they would’ve been free. He said that if the ‘Jihad’ in Afghanistan had not happened, Pakistan would not have its nuclear program.
