I’m willing to risk my business empire for Palestine: Huda Kattan

The beauty mogul reiterated her support for Palestine and slammed attempts to intimidate her

As the death toll in Gaza rises to 18,787, with 50,897 reported injuries, opposition against pro-Palestine advocates intensifies, with many claiming instances of active censorship and death threats. The heightened atmosphere has turned attention to influential figures across various industries, awaiting their stance on Israel’s occupation.

Huda Kattan, the 40-year-old founder of the renowned makeup empire Huda Beauty, has unequivocally expressed her support for the countless Palestinians suffering under Israel’s occupying regime, undeterred by critics. Addressing the pressures to silence her beliefs, Huda took to TikTok on December 11 with a video message.

“I have faced intimidation from various sources trying to silence me. I ask myself, why do they want me to be silent? I’m talking about innocent people being hurt,” she shared. “I am not anti-Semitic. I am not against any people. I stand against that.” Huda emphasized her belief that the Israeli government is putting the Jewish people in harm’s way and accused them of using people as “human shields” while misattributing actions to Palestinians.

“I’ve always believed that the Israeli government uses their religion and their people as human shields. I’ve always believed that they deflect and project everything that they do onto the Palestinian people,” declared Huda. She highlighted the ongoing revolution, fueled by increased awareness and education, stating, “Nothing will undo this.”

Detailing her experience of facing threats and opposition, Huda underscored the importance of hope while advocating for an end to oppression. “I have been getting threats on my business every which way. I don’t know where things are gonna go. But we have to remember, we cannot be afraid to lose anything.”

Addressing those attempting to intimidate her, the beauty guru concluded, “You’re coming to the wrong person. I will not be intimidated. I’ve done nothing wrong. I’m speaking on behalf of humanity.”
