Indian cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir calls to excommunicate Premier Imran Khan from the international cricketing fraternity. Gambhir’s hostile reaction followed PM Khan’s fearless and impassioned speech at the 74th UNGA session.
While PM Khan’s maiden speech garnered PM Khan global appreciation, Gautam Gambhir is in the furor, mainly because PM Khan had taken to cleaners RSS and BJP government at the world forum for breeding religious extremism and jingoism in India, and for its illegal annexation of IOK.

PM Khan had called out the intent of ethnic cleansing of Muslims by the Bharatiya Janata Party, of which he is a serving parliamentarian. In his bizarre statement, he described Imran Khan as the ‘role model of terrorists’.
Hence, he must be expelled from the cricketing fraternity as a punishment for supporting terrorism, asserted Gambhir. He argued that PM Khan undermined his stature of a role model is a former cricketer. Gambhir’s tweets described Imran Khan as unethical, and a person of weak character.

Gambhir’s indignant remarks against PM Khan caught the attention of Pakistani social media users, Pakistani netizens rallied in large numbers, mocked former Indian cricketer for his baseless and bogus assertions.

Gautam Gambhir’s scorn for Pakistan is old. On multiple occasions, he has posted unwarranted hateful tweets against Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi, since he too has been vocal on Kashmir issue globally. The former Indian cricketer jeered at Pakistan for providing foolproof intense security to the Sri Lankan team, who is currently on a visit to Pakistan, amid the allegation of bluffing several flat buyers in Delhi and embezzling millions from them.
