In another audio leak, Maryam Nawaz insists shutting down Sehat card

Maryam Nawaz's controversial audio leak on the Sehat Card has caused a storm as PTI, along with its supporters, claims that the audio has exposed the PML-N government.

Another audio leak of PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has surfaced. This time, Maryam Nawaz is allegedly asking to stop the services of the Sehat Insaaf Card by PTI.

According to the details, in the leaked audio – which is making the rounds on social media – Maryam Nawaz can be heard talking to who is believed to be Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

In the leaked audio, Maryam Nawaz insists on shutting down the health insurance card program initiated by the previous government of PTI which benefited millions of Pakistanis by providing free medical services.

She allegedly suggested PM Shehbaz Sharif stop the services of the health cards by giving a reason publically for facing a shortage of funds. Maryam Nawaz could be heard saying that former prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan has achieved nothing but the health card program. To this, PM Sharif alleged responded to her that it would not be a big problem.

Earlier, another alleged audio conversation was leaked in which Maryam Nawaz can be heard advising PM Shehbaz to jack up fuel prices.

PTI’s reaction to Maryam Nawaz’s audio leak

Needless to say, Maryam Nawaz’s controversial audio leak on the Sehat Card has caused a storm as PTI, along with its supporters, claims that the audio has exposed the PML-N government.

“This is disgusting. Convict-on-bail asking Crime Minister to stop Sehat Card which benefits so many people. Already Crime Minister stopped payment for Sehat Card in what was FATA so the KP government has taken responsibility. Clearly to undermine PTI, this criminal lot can make people suffer,” PTI leader and former human rights Minister Shireen Mazari tweeted.

“If it is true that the government would stop Sehat Card for 170 million Pakistanis just because of Imran Khan, then nothing could be more shameful. I can confirm that 6 million FATA residents were deprived [of the Sehat Card] from Jul 1 and that the Planning Commission asked the Ministry of Health to prepare options on a scale down,” KP Finance Minister Taimur Khan Jhagra tweeted. Pertinent to mention that Sehat cards were terminated in the tribal districts to the dismay of the local residents.

“Nani Ama [a nickname given to Maryam Nawaz by PTI] who performed cosmetic surgeries on the looted property from the nation, was caught issuing orders to end healthcard facilities for the general public. The facility is permanent, but another mischief of Nani came before the public. Indeed, Allah humiliates such people in this world as well,” former federal minister Zartaj Gul Wazir tweeted.
