PTI’s leader Firdaus Ashiq Awan slapped PPP’s MNA Qadir Mandokhel in a TV talk show on Wednesday night. The video of the two politicians abusing each other went viral on social media. The viral shows that Firdaus Ashiq Awan allegedly first hit Mandokhel during the heated altercation.
The incident took place during the recording of a TV talk show hosted by Javed Chaudhry. The viral video showed both the politicians leveling allegations of corruption against each other. The PTI minister denied she was ever involved in the corruption even when she was in Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

The heated argument resulted in a physical fight between the two politicians. Firdaus Ashiq Awan claims that Qadir Mandokhel had abused her and her father off-air which is not being shown in the viral video. In her response, she asked the channel to release the full video and show how Qadir Mandokhel was swearing at her and her father due to which she was forced to hit him in rage.
She also released her video in which she said that she will be filing a case of harassment and defamation case against Qadir Mandokhel. “During the talk show, PPP’s Qadir Mandokhel threatened me. He insulted my late father and me by using abusive language. I had to take an extreme step in my defense,” Awan tweeted along with a video statement.

However, neither PTI nor PPP has released any official statement on the incident. The minister’s reaction to PPP’s Qadir Mandokhel is under strong scrutiny. A mammoth of social media users has disapproved of her extreme reaction in a TV talk show.
Social media users believe that she should have shown restrain as she is setting the wrong precedence with her aggressive behavior. Her video has triggered a strong debate as users are tweeting under #FirdousAshiqAwan that has been among the top trends on Twitter since Wednesday.
