Javed Afridi introduces all-new 2000cc double-cabin “MG Extender”

The giant pickup truck, priced around 4 million PKR in the international market will likely challenge the monopoly of Vigo, Revo, Isuzu D-Max and Foton Tunland! It is powered by a 2-litre common-rail turbo-diesel engine providing 161 horsepower and 375 nm of torque.

The owner of Peshawar Zalmi in Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the CEO of Haier Pakistan, Javed Afridi in a tweet on Monday shared an all-new MG Extender – the 4×4 double cabin by the immensely popular British automaker Morris Garages (MG).

The much-acclaimed entrepreneur in a post shared on the popular microblogging site said, “MG Pakistan Excitement Continue, Introducing MG Extender, 2.0 Giant Cab Grand 4x2 with i-smart Intelligent System”.

Afridi also attached an almost 2-minute long video of a shinny blank MG Extender. The video contained the 360-degree glimpses from the exterior as well as interior.

Earlier this year, Javed Afridi, JW Auto Park owner, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British carmaker MG Motors to bring electric vehicles in Pakistan.

Javed Afridi has from time and again expressed his desire to bring Morris Garages (MG) Motor UK Limited to Pakistan. But only recently, the businessman announced that two models of MG Motors namely MG HS and MG ZS EV were being launched in Pakistan in 2020.

But it doesn’t end there; now we hear that MG is planning to launch a giant pickup truck labelled MG Extender in Pakistan. The British company claims that it will offer performance, safety and durability.

Its built quality is pretty impressive. It shows off a modern grille at the front along with exquisite automatic LED Projector headlights.

If we look at the interior we find a mesmerizing cabin with the door panels and dashboard made out of a soft-touch material to provide maximum comfort. The truck comes with black leather, electrically adjustable seats that can recline up to 150 degrees while the rear seats are foldable only.

On the infotainment front, we find a large 10-inch screen that can also connect to mobile phones, Apple or Android via Bluetooth to play your favourite songs or podcasts during your journeys. On the front console, there are 2 USB ports to cater to your energy needs. The steering wheel, just like all modern vehicles has a multi-function button for increased comfort. and accessibility.

There are 6 airbags placed in the front and sides of this massive vehicle and curtain to protect the driver and passenger in the event of a collision. The omnidirectional camera and blind-spot warning system increase visibility – and peace of mind -for the driver.

The truck is powered by a 2-litre common-rail turbo diesel providing 161 horsepower and 375 newton-metres of torque in the 1,500 – 2,400 rev band.
